What this calculator is

irot Zusteht works out, under the general rules of the law, which benefits a household with your details is probably entitled to. The result is a non-binding calculation and not legal advice. Only the responsible office decides on your application; it may arrive at a different amount, for example because it sees documents we do not know.

Advice from the authorities is free of charge (§ 14 Book I of the Social Code, SGB I). Applications are free of charge too; you file them yourself at the office named or online.

Where the figures come from

All amounts come from the official wording of the laws and ordinances (gesetze-im-internet.de), retrieved on 9 October 2026. The housing benefit calculation matches all eleven worked examples of the Federal Ministry of Housing, and the child supplement matches the examples of the Familienkasse. The rent level of your town comes from the annex to the Housing Benefit Ordinance (Wohngeldverordnung).

Privacy

We do not store your details. They are used only for the calculation and discarded with the answer. There is no account, no cookies, no analytics or advertising services and no access logs. Fonts and images sit on our own server; your browser connects to no third-party provider.

Details about your care level and severe disability are health data (Art. 9 GDPR). We ask for them only if you expressly consent (box in the form), use them only for this one calculation and do not store them. Without consent, leave these details out; the other benefits are still calculated.

The controller is the provider named in the Legal notice (Impressum).
